The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has announced a new update to the “Sanad” application, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, represented by the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department. The update removes the personal photo from the digital driving licence following the approval of this measure by the Licensing Department.

Under the update, the personal photo displayed on the digital civil identity in “Sanad” will be used as the official identification image for verifying the licence holder’s identity, eliminating the need for the photo to appear again on the digital driving licence.

The update is part of ongoing efforts to simplify the presentation of digital documents and facilitate their use, contributing to a more seamless and clear experience for citizens when accessing and using their documents through the “Sanad” application.
