The Personal Data Protection Directorate, in cooperation with the Arab Company for Concrete Supplies Lafarge (Jordan Concrete), organized an awareness workshop on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, on Personal Data Protection Law No. (24) Of 2023. During the workshop, the Directorate's team reviewed the legal aspects that companies must take into consideration, including data subject rights, the responsibilities of the controller who has custody of the data, and procedures for complying with the law and the regulations and instructions issued pursuant thereto. They also clarified the administrative and judicial penalties that may result from any breach of the provisions of the law. The importance of appointing a personal data protection officer (DPO) within organizations was also emphasized, to ensure the implementation of the law's requirements and to respond to inquiries or challenges related to data protection. This workshop is part of a series of awareness-raising activities implemented by the Personal Data Protection Directorate in cooperation with public and private sector institutions, with the aim of enhancing awareness of the culture of data protection and raising the level of security and compliance in the Jordanian workplace
