Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Visits Estarta

The Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Eng. Sami Smeirat, visited Estarta, where he was briefed on the company’s work in network engineering and information technology, its role in exporting technical services, and its contribution to creating employment opportunities for Jordanian youth. Over the past six years, the company has provided 2,117 job opportunities.

During his tour of the company’s offices, the Minister listened to a detailed presentation on the nature of Estarta’s specialized services in network engineering and information technology, as well as its investments, expansions, employment plans, and capacity-building initiatives. The briefing also highlighted the company’s provision of technical services in multiple languages and the presence of its branches across several countries in the Middle East and Europe.

Minister Smeirat emphasized that, within the framework of the Economic Modernization Vision, the government is working to empower the private sector across all fields and to rely on Jordanian companies in implementing the digital transformation process, considering them key partners in supporting economic growth and enhancing competitiveness.

He noted that the government continues to provide investment incentives and facilitation measures that strengthen the regional competitiveness of Jordanian companies. These include flexible legislation, tax exemptions, advanced infrastructure, and special economic zones, in addition to ongoing updates to systems and procedures to facilitate doing business and accelerate transaction processing, ensuring a stable and transparent environment that supports the growth and expansion of projects.

During the visit, the Minister also recalled the efforts of the company’s former Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Moataz Al-Nabulsi – may he rest in peace – in developing the company and supporting Jordanian talent, affirming that his legacy will remain evident in the company’s journey and achievements.
